This is a recent development from MTN Nigeria to its numerous subscribers. The release of two new tariff plans, migrating its subscribers from their various previous plans automatically into the new tariff plans called
the MTN PAYGO and MTN TALK ON.
MTN Nigeria has delivered bonuses its network subscribers which you can on your mobile phone with *559# if you are a dear subscriber and send 403 to 131 for the expiration date. (You could send me a thank you message on +2348069606296)
MTN PAYGO
To migrate to MTN PAYGO, simply send 400 to 131
Features
1. It has 6 family and friends (four (4) regulars, on international, and one offset)
2. Regular Free Night calls
3. Different bundles exist like in previous tariff
4. One magic number per month (I guess this will be the most loved feature):
The Magic number allows you to add one SPECIAL person for a month at the cost of #250 (250 naira) and can make total free calls to that person alone. Though, you have to request this permission from that SPECIAL person which can either be rejected or accepted but charges will only occur if accepted. Lastly, it can only be with one person per each month on either side.
To request, dial *563*SPECIAL person's No# and send
To Accept, dial *563*1*SPECIAL person's No# and send
To Reject, dial *563*2*SPECIAL person's No# and send
MTN TALK ON
To migrate to MTN TALK ON, simply send 401 to 131
Features
1. 50kobo to first MTN to MTN call in a day and 25k subsequently
2. Normal charges to other network
3. There are eight international countries you can select to very cheap rate calls
US, UK, Canada: 20kobo per sec
Saudi Arabia, Labanon, South Africa, China, India: 41kobo per sec
You could choose a country and any call to that particular country even with different numbers will be in this above stated rate.
To activate send "Add" space "select" space "destination code" to 131.
Note: destination code for US is US, UK is UK, Canada is ca, China is cn, etc
