Ph.D. scholarship in Information and Knowledge Management

Brief Description: The research will be motivated by clinical problems at the Emergency and Acute Department (EAD) at Odense University Hospital (OUH). The focus of the research will be to develop intelligent information and knowledge management (IKM) tools and techniques to help identify patients at risk
and patients in need. Various IKM tasks must be addressed in the project such as data acquisition, information storing, processing, mining, analysis, and visualization, as well as knowledge management aimed at medical decision support. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with a Ph.D. student from EAD, OUH enrolled at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark.

Eligibility: Applicants for the scholarship must have a Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Salary:  The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement of 1 October 2008 on salaried PhD scholars between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
